North Carolina (also known as the North Carolina colony or the Royal colony of North Carolina) was originally part of the United States, Carolina, and was owned by eight lords. The province later became North Carolina State and Tennessee State, and part of the State combined with other regions to form Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi State.
