A mysterious stranger is a novel that was tried by American writer Mark Twain. From 1897 to 1908 he studied it intermittently. Twain wrote several versions of the story; each included a supernatural personality called "Satan" or "44". All versions are incomplete (controversial exceptions, last one, 44th, inexplicable stranger). The first substantial edition was called "Chronicle of the Young Satan" (also known as "Esserdorf" version) and in 1702 on the village of Esell in Austria about the adventure of Satan, the innocent sin of the Bible Satan I talk about Dolph.
