When I was in Beverly's 11th grade English class, I narrowed the summer reading to one of two alternatives: demonic economics, or nickel and meditation. I chose the former, and that was always its oddness. Nickel and Dimed are the books that I always imagined, but I have never read it. Thanks to the airport bookstore, I can remind you of the old romantic stories of books I have never seen before. I can not help it when I read this book, but I wonder what the updated version looks like. I thought about someone I met in New Mexico, and he has had some success in his career. He is a man, unless he tells you, you have never guessed he is homeless for the majority of his life. I always wanted to write a book on how to help the homeless he really lived. Nickel and Dimed provide similar insight into the lives of low-income people, but they are not necessarily solutions. Ehrenreich knows about this problem
I used to be a maid once, but then I had a house. Please become an orphan now to be a mother. To be homeless, it is now a member of the Church Women's Assistance Association, where all the women have pennies and nickel coins, other pennies and nickel coins, and fewer people. There are also biscuits and tea. The church here, the white church in the park, is where my cookie is. We do the same thing, this time I will scrape a few pennies, coins and coins, dozens of dollars and send them out. Cookie, I am hosting a reception for members of the circle tomorrow ... This is what my church calls them, a solid female group. The reception was after her funeral. She will be there, make sure everything is ok, check the tea service and have a cup of coffee
Let's first assume that her million dollars are evenly distributed among nickel coins and coins. If one million dollars is 10 cents, it will contain 10 million coins, and for nickel alone it will be 20 million coins. Let's say half the way. In other words, 15 million coins - 5 million cents, 10 million nickel coins. Let's consider the time it takes for Minnie to spend only 15 million coins. Assuming that you can calculate 4 coins per second, it takes 3,750,000 seconds to calculate them. It's 24 hours a day, 62,500 minutes without interruption, or about 1041 hours, or about 43 days and a half. Because this seems to be rough for the poor, let's take 6 hours of sleep and 2 hours of meals and breaks a day. With these concessions, Minnie can calculate millions of nickel coins and coins that are worth her in about 65 days or more than 2 months.
