Nick Carraway

Nick Callaway is a fictitious character and is the hero and a storyteller of F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Great Gatsby" (1925).

In his story, Nick Charway explained that he was born in the Midwest and served in the First World War. After the war he learned about bond trading from West Midwest to West Egg, a wealthy Long Island. He lives near his cousin Daisy Buchanan and her wealthy husband Tom, Yale University Nick's classmate. They introduced him to a professional golfer with a friend Jordan Baker, a cynical young heir, and she and Nick had a short romance.

Another neighbor, Jay Gatsby, invited Nick to attend his legendary party. Especially when Gatsby introduced to Gangster Mel Wolfsheim, Nick was immediately fascinated by its mysterious social circle.
