Our council can solve this problem. According to the city's own poverty measurement, it can be seen that New Yorkers are driven to poverty due to commuting expenses, and the impact is more important than child-rearing expenses. In order to become a truly progressive city, we need to offer half of the MetroCards to New Yorkers living in poverty.

Last summer, after our leadership, Mayor Blasio Mayor offered $ 250 million to half a million New Yorkers with a half MetroCards proposal to repair Metro's Fair Fix shipping funds . In this winter, the mayor called New York at his address in New York and became the most fair city in the country. He quoted the word "fairness" and its variants at different times and once again accepted a half-price fare policy for low-income New Yorkers. Now is the time to take the leadership of the city.

New York continues to face amazing income disparity and can not be the most equal city in the United States. Also, since hundreds of thousands of neighbors can not move by bus or subway, they can not access essential necessities. Last year, mayor Brasio clearly understood the criteria that all fares will affect the participation of many New Yorkers in urban life and poverty. We are convinced that the mayor will follow us and join us to make important new threads for our social security network, led by the Board.
