New York — History and Culture

In the relatively short history, the rise of New York as the top of the alpha world city is almost entirely due to the energy, innovation and dedication of its people and leaders over the past four centuries. New Yorker lives in one of the most cultural cities in the world and I am very proud.

The first settlers in Europe were Dutch fur traders who established trade colonies in the early 17th century. Their main town, New Amsterdam, was founded in New York City today. During the Second Dutch War in 1664, British troops occupied the town and was renamed to New York. By the 18th century the harbor was known as the major trade port in colonial times.

The city is an important strategic entity in the revolutionary war, and the main influence of New York based Freedom Son is the driving force of independence. Thirty thousand crew members and soldiers in the UK arrived in Staten Island in 1776, but they were repelled in the battle of Saratoga in 1777. In 1785, New York was declared the capital of a new country till the first anniversary of George Washington in 1790.

By the early 19th century, the city became the center of traffic for the new steamboat line, and the toll road network established in 1810 became the main stop for vans to Michigan and Buffalo. The opening of the Great Erie canal in 1825 connected the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes, strengthening its outstanding position and increasing colonists. In 1831, New York celebrated its first rail service in the United States.

During the Civil War New York was a very successful city and thousands of young people were fighting slavery during the conflict. In the following decades, the city settled its position in the fields of banking and finance, industries and immigration control industries prospered. In the Great Depression of 1929, New York was recognized as the world leader.

World War II ended the great industrial era of the city, and the focus of the economy shifted to the postwar service industry. With the help of automobile culture and affordable new housing, the suburbs are growing rapidly. In the past few decades, New York has become one of the world's greatest cities, becoming the center of the world's cultural entertainment and pop music style.

The incredible multinational population in New York defines the culture of the city as one of the most eclectic cultures in every place. Town theater, dance, literature, music, art, and cuisine reflect the millions of immigrant traditions. At the turn of the last century, 36% of the population in New York is born in foreign countries, ethnic groups rarely dominate, most people are respected on holidays, but these holidays represent important heritage milestones Represent it.

Culturally, New York has multiculturalism. New York is full of arts, history, fashion, business and so on. New York arts include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, Broadway Theater and Guggenheim Museum. In history we have a museum of natural history. There are also many designer stores in New York. New York is home to Wall Street. This picture shows that Broadway is part of New York culture, so it fits geographical theme. In New York City, when the weather began to get colder, people were wearing jackets and cold weather to adapt to the surrounding environment. As the weather gets warmer, they also wear light clothing. In New York, due to its high population density, this city is one of America's most automobile-independent cities. New York City has become one of the most important cities in the world

New York City is the most important and largest city in the country. It has been around since hundreds of years ago. From early immigration to modern architecture, New York City is composed of various cultures. New York City seems to be the backbone of our country. People from all over the world come to this place and see all the important cultures of Rough and all the important buildings. New York is a very busy place, but there are lots of historical features.
