Take a new student and transition project bus to the Cal Poly campus in the Los Angeles area or Bay Area and enjoy a special evening meeting at the residence hall. As the bus space is limited, you can continue to use regular meeting registration. Additional charges will apply. Participants are 325 dollars, 2 nights accommodation and round trip pick up. Meals are only served during the session. In order to fulfill the requirements of SLO Days, EOP students are required to attend the SLO Day conference on 26th / 27th July. For EOP students participating in the Summer Academy, the schedule for that day will be adjusted to participate in SLO Day. For EOP students who are not participating in SLO Day, it is an opportunity to contact the EOP community before returning to the autumn season.
Welcome to New Life and Transition Service! This office will support freshmen and ongoing students at the Colorado School of Mine and will support the transition to inside and outside the campus. Through specialized courses, our students are familiar with campuses, traditions, expectations, and processes and are ahead of community building.
As students move to campus, the new Student and Family Program is dedicated to supporting new students and their families. We decided to join the CU Boulder in the first few weeks of campus and we worked in the next class. We will continue to support students with the experience of CU Boulder.
Many universities are trying to bridge this gap by helping college graduates of new graduates make realistic expectations for a successful transition. However, these courses are normally held after freshmen arrive on campus. Until then it is too late. Students arrive at the idea and perception of the university, these ideas and opinions are more romantic than accurate reflection of college life - enrollment pamphlets, visits to campuses, media stereotypes, and family and friends stories. This makes it difficult for many new students to adapt to the new environment.
