Like most international adoption programs, Korea has its own eligibility requirements for adoptive parents. Applicants must be heterosexual couples married for at least 3 years. Applicants must be between the ages of 25 and 44 when receiving family research approval. Applicants must be able to travel to India to complete domestic procedures. The number of people needed (1 to 2) and the duration of the travel depends on which state the child lives in. A heterosexual couple married for at least two years can be adopted from India. Single women and men are allowed to adopt; single males can only adopt boys. Applicants must be between 25 and 55 years of age and have no economic capacity, physical, mental and mental stability and life threatening situations.
