What makes Canadians really Canadian is based on background information such as age, sex, sexual orientation, ethnic background or religion. These factors may be person's personality, but this does not classify people as Canadian citizens. The difference between Canadians and Americans is their citizenship. Citizenship is a country that states that birth or naturalization (immigration) is enjoying privileges, rights and obligations ("Canadian citizens' interests" April 1)
There are many responsibilities to become a Canadian citizen. It is our responsibility to maintain our values, making our planet, the people around us, and ultimately us Canadian. As a member of the Aboriginal community, my relationship with my land and my estate made us more responsible. Not only for us but for celebrating those who strive to create the people we think today as a matter of course. There are many people in the world, many people are fighting for the freedom and luxury that we enjoy here.
Being a Canadian citizen means everything to me. Canada is part of me as well as my house as well as a part of my growth. I know my nationality every day and understand the world around me everyday.
