PDQ is a comprehensive cancer information database of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Many of the information contained in the PDQ can be obtained online from the NCI website. PDQ is provided as a service of NCI. NCI is part of the National Institute of Health, the focus of federal government biomedical research. The PDQ database contains a summary of the latest published information on cancer prevention, testing, genetics, therapy, supportive care, and complementary alternative medicine. Most abstracts are available in two versions. Health Professional provides detailed information written in a technical language. The patient version is written in a comprehensible non-technical language. Both versions will provide current accurate cancer information.
"Cancer of war" is also bad as well. John Bailar III should know about cancer. He works at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a statistical consultant at NCI Jorunal, the New England Medical Journal, and a lecturer at Harvard Public Health Graduate School. He began to doubt the effectiveness of the entire cancer research program in the 1970's and left NCI in 1980. At the New England Journal of Medicine in 1986, he wrote an article titled "Cancer Progress". From 1950 to 1982, there was no evidence that medical advances delayed cancer and cancer mortality. If anything, the situation is getting worse than before.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the first classification organization of the National Institutes of Health (NCI), founded in 1937 and is the largest research institute. The cancer war started in 1971 by the National Cancer Act greatly increased the focus of cancer research in federal budgets. It establishes a public-private partnership model built around the network of national laboratories and cancer centers. The majority of the decrease is due to a better understanding of the causative factors (eg male smoking or lung cancer), better precautions (eg breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, gastric cancer screening) and more It is due to effective treatment. (Childhood leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, testicular cancer etc.)
