Natural disasters in China, Beijing The purpose of this paper is to explore the natural disasters experienced by Beijing. While studying Beijing, I noticed a lot of information about several different risks that often occur. These dangers are caused by Beijing's natural climate, known as the monsoon climate. This climate frequently causes drought, sandstorms and summer of rain. In this article, I will explain the natural climate of Beijing and natural disasters occurring in the city.
In recent years, natural disasters in China make prediction and destruction more difficult. According to the China Meteorological Department, in 2006 many natural disasters such as floods and landslides caused by typhoons occurred more than usual. In 2007, Chinese officials and researchers attributed climate change to the causes of fatal typhoons and extreme weather. In addition, the intensity, speed and destructibility of the typhoon are increasing, causing catastrophic damage to residents of coastal areas, especially residents of southeast China.
