Native American Religions

For centuries the Native American religion has been oppressed and misunderstood. They have little room to explain their rituals, and why is it important for them as a society? This ignorance leads to the loss of land, the misconduct of sacred things, and the lack of education in indigenous religious ceremonies. Indigenous peoples should be supported to protect their customs and words. As most of these religions have been repressed for a long time, many elders are reluctant to teach their religion to believe in their religion, afraid of being rejected by modern society.
