When theodore Roosevelt arrived in the Kota area to search Bison in 1883, he was a thin young, glasses covered man in New York. He could not imagine his adventure in this faraway and unfamiliar place forever changing the progress of this country. The rugged landscape and harsh life that the TR experienced here will help to develop protection policies that will benefit us today.
August 28, 2016 will be the 100th anniversary of the national park service in China. The National Park Service was established to recognize the value and necessity of President Woodrow Wilson 's protection of our natural heritage in 1916. National parks department, including national parks, monuments and reserves are guardians of the heritage of the United States. Going to the unexplored park will make you unsatisfied. The park is a wild place so I can not expect that everything is waiting for you. Wildlife has its own timetable, natural events like geyser are often unpredictable (unless you visit Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park), advance camping / accommodation I need to make a reservation. It sounds silly, but putting a tent in a national park is a hot item. Several parks are on a first come, first served basis, but there are reservations and waiting lists for popular parks.
Yellowstone National Park (YNP) was established as the first national park on 1 March 1872 (National Park Administration "History", i2016). Today, the park covers an area of 3,472 square miles and is located in a small part of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho (National Park Service "Park Facts", 2016). To unify protection and management of all the national parks, President Woodrow Wilson signed the "Organization Act" on August 25, 1916 and founded the National Park Service (HPS) (the history of the National Park Service , "2016"). Prior to the "Organization Act", YNP was considered only for human use, not for protection; the loss of Bison was a loss of people, not an ecosystem. Theodore Roosevelt believes that YNP is a natural breeding ground and is an amusement park where you may hunt by landing outside of YNP (Marris 2011). As the degree of industrialization in the United States increases, more people live in the city, more people come to live on the farm, and the attitude towards nature begins to change.
