National Library Week

At the opening ceremony of the 73rd World Library and Information Conference of Durban International Library Association on August 19th, Storyteller 's Gcina Mhlophe reassured the audience (AL, October). As you know, this week is the National Library Week. The American Library Association (ALA) first sponsored the National Library Week in 1958. According to ALA, the National Library Week "When celebrating the contribution of our national library and librarian, when promoting the use and support of the library", and the participation of various libraries from the school library to the public library. Three celebrations were held this week: National Library Worker Day, National Book Mobile Day, Youth Literature Day

The National Library Week (8 - 14 April 2018) is a time to celebrate the contribution of our national library and library workers, to promote the use and support of the library. The library provides opportunities for everyone by supporting entrepreneurial spirit and retraining support, from free access to books to home online resources, library business centers. The theme of the national library weekly in 2018 is "the leadership of the library", and a chief dancer of the American Ballet Theater, Misty Coop Land, will serve as the honorary chairman of the National Library of the Week in 2018.

The National Library Week of 2018 will be the 60th anniversary of the first event organized in 1958. This nationwide celebration is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and can be found in libraries throughout the country every April. Schools, public, academic and special all kinds of libraries are participating in the National Library Week every year. This year, the National Library 's Weekly Honorary President went to Ballerina Misty Copeland. In 2015, Copeland became the first African-American woman in history of 75 years (75 years history) and became a chief dancer of American Ballet Theater.

A National Library Week sponsored by the National Library Association (ALA) will be held on Monday, April 12, 2015, recognizing the contribution of our libraries and librarians and promoting the use of the library.
