National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is a nationwide high school student organization composed of many chapters of the United States and remote high schools. The choice is based on four criteria: scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service and personality. The National Honor Society needs to serve communities, schools and other organizations. The time spent working on these projects will help me meet the monthly service time requirements. The National Honorary Association was founded in 1921 by the National Secondary School Principals Association. The Alfa branch of NHS was founded at Fifth Avenue High School by principal Edward S. Rainier son of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. [1]

The National Honor Society group actively participates in community and school community service activities. In many chapters it is necessary to participate in such service activities

The National Junior High School Association (NASSP) officially established NHS in 1921. There were many local and regional honorary associations before 1921, but no domestic organization was established. Under the guidance of Dr. Edward Rainyerson, Principal of Fifth Avenue High School in Pittsburgh, this organization has grown to over 1000 chapters from the former Alpha chapter of Fifth Avenue in 1930. As a full-time group of coordinators with constitution, logos and motto, the new NHS organization has rapidly evolved into one of the nation's leading education groups.

It is estimated that more than 1 million students are participating in the National Honorary Association. The NHS and NJHS chapters extend to all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many US territories, and Canada. They can also be found in Asia; the three schools in Pakistan maintain an active chapter. They can also be found in international schools and American schools all over the world.

The motto of NHS is the duty of nobility. [2] This is French in "nobility's duty". Therefore, Dictionnairedel 'Academiefrançaise defines it.

Since 1946, the National Honor Society has awarded over 15 million dollars in scholarships. [3]

The National Science Honor Association (NSHS) is a nationwide organization that recognizes excellent students to students. Members must hold an average of 3.0, at least 1 science within the first year before and after the third year.

In order to be introduced to the National Honorary Association (NHS), students need to achieve good grades, but this is not all. In order to be recognized, students must reach the pillars of the four National Honorary Associations: scholarships, leadership, personality and service. The national honorary association is truly honored to be accepted. The National Honor Society represents scholarships, leadership, service, and personality. I think that I have shown empathy and leadership necessary for our society since I was young. That is why it is a right society for me. I am involved in school and community. In our school, I was nominated the chairman of the ball committee this year. This position is very stressful, but I have no other way. I like to be able to do it ...
