Brin and Innis did not waste books discussing slavery and how cruel it is. They will pay more attention to the achievement of blacks. One of the main examples used by Breen and Innes is the story of Anthony Johnson. Johnson was able to remove the bondage of slavery, make himself a diligent person, buy the land, become black people with property, farm management, and freedom. He was able to accomplish all these feats, but he did not gain the recognition deserve to be Breen and Innes

Breen and Innes did a good job to show that the behavior of a person who is not necessarily that race played a big part in Virginia early. They raised an unintended discussion that superiority and obedience are real problems when owning property, not race at the time. Owners of large-scale farms are threatening small farmers and landowners. Compared with small farmers and landlords, black people are in the same playground. Sadly, this did not enter the racial way of thinking as I mentioned earlier. There is also a view that even the most difficult black people are freed from slavery, can move towards freedom, and they can maintain the wealth of perpetuating this freedom.
