My teacher series is designed to emphasize the relationship between high school students and teachers in North Carolina. By having students interview teachers, I would like to explore the necessity of connecting in the classroom. WUNC has been doing research for one year to become an educator known as the North Carolina teacher program. Returning to the "My Teacher" series this week, I ask the students to interview the teacher and explore how to connect in the classroom.

My teacher series at WUNC continues at Chapel Hill High School and Nell Ovitt is a senior. Nell 's Japanese teacher, Yoshimi Aoyagi, studied in Japan during high school and gave him the opportunity to accept Japanese students at home.

My favorite teacher at high school was my second grader and my teacher and student teacher, but in the last 4 days of the day she was a nine year English teacher. She will say that not only my favorite teacher, but all the students who owned her once, she is a favorite teacher. Besides teaching these materials for all students to understand, she is emotionally connected with the children. Students resolve her personal problems and believe that she keeps the secret and gives them the best advice. In our opinion she is a successful teacher, but according to the state situation, she is not for elementary school 9th ​​graders teaching at 3 pm. When I was in grade 9, my English teacher was returning the assignment of the book's report. Our entire class sits quietly and is nervously waiting to see how they are doing it. I remember the moment the teacher placed the report on the table. I faced backward I soon thought that I was not well. I was crushed. Her answer was "You should do that." She continued to smile and distribute the report of the rest of the book to my colleagues. This is a bit of a conversation, but it has a very good impact on me. I respect this teacher very much and I gained a lot of confidence when I got such a positive evaluation from her the most when I needed it. I received honor and AP English courses in high school and eventually majored in English at the University of Delaware. Right now, I am writing warm action everyday! I am grateful to the teacher for encouraging me.
