My response to Rainbow's Ending. I really like to read the text "Rainbow's Ending". Below is a brief summary of the play: the story is about two giants, the world is peaceful, quiet and happy. When they eat in the country, they eat anything they can find and everything they can find. Other parts of the country became helpless, dirty and noisy. Until one day, the giants came back and everything got better.
In my early days, I still believed in the myth of golden pot at the end of the rainbow. After all, this idea has appeared over and over again in television, movies, and conversations with other children. However, after my parents repeatedly scolded, I ceased to accept gold cans. However, even though there is no prospect of money, the idea of finding the end of the rainbow is also very attractive. I tried to imagine what it would be like to stand where the rainbow arrived at the ground. What is the width of the rainbow? How dark is the color?
But this did not prevent the rainbow from entering our culture. Most people are familiar with the idea that the goblins will hold his golden can at the end of the rainbow. In Genesis, the rainbow can not be seen anymore, it is only a sign of the covenant of God, never destroying the earth again. However, some stories require that a rainbow behave like an object. In ancient Northern Europe myth, Bifrost is a rainbow bridge connecting the world of God and the country of mankind. It was guarded by cautious Heimdallr god, but it was destroyed by the giants during Ragnarök. A rainbow is a connection between people and people, but you should not cross it. Perhaps this is the reason the rainbow forms a bridge, people can not attempt to climb God while connecting separately
