My Interview with Lad Akins/Director of Special Projects at REEF: Reef Environmental Education Foundation

My initial intention was to interview Lad Akins Special Project Director of REEF (Leaf Environment Education Foundation). Since the beginning of 1990, Lad is also an executive director of REEF. Therefore, he is familiar not only to employees but also to people who have worked at REEF. In addition, answering this question would be very interesting. When you are young you want to grow and operate a nonprofit marine protection organization. The Timeline misrepresented that Lad collected data in the ocean when I appeared at REEF headquarters in Key Largo.

The Coral Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) is an active organization aimed at protecting marine ecosystems by recruiting and educating divers to become active marine administrators. They did this in several programs. One of their main plans is the volunteer fish survey project. In this project, volunteer divers and snorkels can gather information on fish, invertebrates and algae. Data is gathered in a standardized, interesting and easy way and accessible from the database through the REEF website. Other programs that are actively involved in REEF include the Grouper Moon project, the Lionfish invasion program, and the exotic target program. The Grouper Moon project studied the agglomeration and spawning of Nassau Holst and provided scientific protection to Nassau Holst in the Cayman Islands.

Green and coat are not the only ones that will drive out the fish of the lion. At the beginning of the same year, the Coral Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) in Key Largo, Florida began managing Derby in the Bahamas to enhance regional awareness of invasion. During his Ph.D., Green joined the Foundation to participate in the first hunting program. She later decided to use these games to test whether limited hunting will have an impact. With the help of volunteers for scuba diving and snorkeling tools, Green plans to calculate Lionfish at 60 locations before and after the derby in Key Largo and Bahamas in 2012 and 2013. Using the concept of "coral gardening", we gathered healthy coral debris, raised them in underwater seedbeds, and transplanted them to degraded coral reefs. Since 2010, 40,000 corals have grown in underwater nurseries, of which over 24,000 have been transplanted over football fields (5,225 square meters).
