My Interest in Social Work

Recalling my childhood, I always have a brilliant imagination. I imagine myself as a doctor, a lawyer, and even the first female president of the United States of America. However, I have never considered the occupation of social work. Over the years, I noticed that I like to help other people, but I am indifferent to the idea I want. At high school, my counselor asked me to do a career survey to see what I might be interested in. The most common choice is to become a nursing, education, or social worker. So I go online and are studying as many career options as possible.

A: My interest in social work started from my young age. When I was a high school student, I began to attend the church of my school and actively participated in the youth group of the church. Then I was first introduced about the service meaning and the real meaning of helping others. As part of our activities, we will provide homeless food and volunteer to the rehabilitation hospital. By participating in these activities, I became interested in homeless people and elderly people.

My interest in social work arises from the love of volunteers who have shown great enthusiasm for the service of the church and the school since childhood. As I get older I volunteer in many other community activities, such as serving over 200 hours at a local hospital, helping for free cancer checkups, providing free bicycle helmets for children, I started. I have created my own donation activities for local women and children's evacuation centers. - Personal Statement Social work has great interest and personal significance for me. And finally I would like to achieve ambition to become a social worker. As a security program volunteer, this is a help line for domestic violence and I gradually noticed that I am passionate about helping people. I really like the work I am doing and taught me a lot of things.

There are many reasons why you might be fascinated by social work carriers. Some people are interested in social work as they have been saved by social workers in the past or they are experiencing hardships and difficulties and other people overcome similar difficulties I want to help. You may be particularly interested in solving problems such as addiction, abuse or psychosis. You may be strongly interested in working with children and the elderly. There are many ways to guide social workers to the industry, but most social workers prefer to work with people and are driven by the desire to help other people to make the world a better place.

The first step for many people who are interested in becoming a social worker is to obtain a bachelor's degree in social work (BSW) from a university accredited by the Social Work Education Committee (CSWE). The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program prepares for entry level professional, generalist social work practice and postgraduate social work education. As a professional social worker, students learn how to work with individuals, families, groups, communities. Since the bachelor's degree of social work course is a combination of classroom learning and hands-on education, students can learn much about this profession while learning BSW. While applying classroom training to the actual workplace environment, students gain practical experience. When you receive BSW, you are entitled to start social work.
