My Grandma

For me, being a hero does not necessarily mean having a superpower wearing costumes. The hero is always a special person who puts the most important person in his life. They care about their happiness and try to protect them by their heroes.

I chose my grandmother, Maika, in all my heroes. Whenever I need a hug or chicken soup, she is there, she tries to make me feel safe and happy. I live in front of my house (she lives by myself), so I often visit her with my older brother. She likes it very much, she will be very happy when we visit her.

My grandmother lived a very difficult life, to leave a lot of her dear, just to go with her children. She suffered many times due to personal problems, and she must overcome her "peaceful" life. Before 14 years ago, around 1993, I was only one year old, her husband, my grandfather, died due to respiratory complications. Since then, my grandmother had to keep her life strong. This fact surprised me, as I need a lot of courage to forget the past and to stay alive.

I learned from her experience that it is better to go ahead than try to fix the past. In addition, I learned that no one was born with misfortune This can not be avoided and can be changed by effort and courage. That is why I chose her, my grandmother as my hero.
