When I used my computer for the first time, I could not forget the excitement when I first bought my computer. Like my mother who took time to sew and weave my newly born baby, I turned on the computer for hours. I waited for a long time to buy a new computer. I have to spend more time saving money to buy a computer. I do not want to buy a cheap computer, but I would like to buy a professional computer. Am I a professional computer? No, it is not. I do not even know how to type, but I am convinced that my expensive computer can make me a computer expert.
I was born on the first generation computer. I did not see one of them, but I found out that it was an exciting part of my story. When I first used my computer - a modern counting device - it was my toy abacus. It will look like the photo above. My color is very dark. Both ends are red triangles connected by three thin metal bars with 10 beads on each gold rod. Each set of beads is a different primary color - red, yellow, blue. I do not know why I am attracted to this toy. It is different from counting it. Play around with beads and move back and forth. I go to bed with an abacus every evening and put it at the foot of the bed.
I still remember the first time I used my computer. I'm five years old at Glen Cove Primary School in Roanoke, Virginia. My kindergarten teacher, Madame Graham told me about the lesson we might have an unforgetable day. After Mrs. Graham 's speech, we all went to the computer room. I got confused when I entered the room with other classmates. I saw only 30 boxes and I got confused as light emanated from them. However, when Mrs. Graham and I talked to other classmates, confusion about my computer was getting less and less. At first I thought it was difficult, but as I had to practice I seemed to be trying to catch baseball
I encountered Apple when I used my computer for the first time. I remember it was like yesterday. In the first grader, there is a computer class in this dark and cold room every Tuesday. I remembered seeing the computer and I was shocked at how personal it looks. I am staring at the 1998 iMac, the first of its kind. It does not look like a terrible big machine, it seems you can easily talk. It is comfortable and easy to use, yet full of powerful and advanced technology. I am always looking forward to Tuesday. Because that means I can go to the computer lab and use the iMac.
