My Definition of Nursing

After receiving the second ACL operation since I graduated from high school, I wanted to be a nurse. I have to stay in the hospital for three days to recover. She made me think that I was her only patient. I will never forget my care and how comfortable she is. Although I am young and scared, she makes me feel like I have my own mother who takes care of me. That is why I want to be a nurse.

My personal care definition is to take care of my patients, my knowledge, consideration and care, respect and honesty. Pay attention to the mental, physical and emotional aspects of the patient and take into account their family and the environment. Because I know various theorists, I like Hildegard · Pepprau the best. Peplau believes that the relationship between patients and nurses is not only a patient as a unit of concern but also a focus of attention. (Chitty & Black p. 314-315). I am committed to defining and taking care of nursing jobs. This article requires deep self-reflection. Therefore, it is not surprising that my personal beliefs and experiences are influential factors. By analyzing nurses' theorists, we could explore research based on hypotheses and evidence about that occupation and learn to become a work indispensable to my daily life someday. I think that it is necessary to develop the definition of personal care.

Professional definitions are "requiring expertise, often requiring long-term intensive academic preparation" (Webster Dictionary, 2008). By definition it is no doubt that nursing is a profession. Nurses spend too much time and energy in the academic environment without using the word experts. - Public health hymns are to promote and protect people's health. This aggressive approach does not limit the scope of its practice to individual health issues, but also includes the development and implementation of programs and policies that contribute to population health. The role of public health nurse is to focus on population-centered care, which leads to health promotion, disability and illness prevention, and improvement of quality of life.
