My Community, My Vision

My community, my vision (MCMV) is a youth planning partner of the Indiana State Housing Community Development Authority (IHCDA) and the IUPUI Public Environmental Postgraduate Graduate Program. This program celebrates the fifth year and I think that Indiana youth should not leave their hometown to realize their dreams. Previous participating groups have developed a community vision program to lay the foundation for student entrepreneurial opportunities, community gardens, bicycle sharing programs, farmers' markets, and other programs that students want to bring into their homes . In the past, a group of youth-led programs were adopted by local authorities and some groups gathered about $ 4,000 grants and in-kind donations to implement projects developed during the MCMV planning process It was.

During the academic year, local government (LUG) and high school student group will cooperate with IUPUI student mentor and develop youth-led community vision program. Based on the opinion of the high school student and the support of LUG, the IUPUI student tutor creates a vision plan based on the student's idea for the community.
