Mutilation and Beautification

When reading One Man 's Mutilation by Germaine Greer, I was suffering from the whole theme for beautification of others. She discussed various beliefs about many cultures and the differences they feel "acceptable", beautiful or popular. However, for almost all sentences, I dislike almost any type of beautification, especially side effects that ultimately lead to pain and injury.
