Music Therapy for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

The proposed theme of the proposed topic is to develop appropriate musical intervention to improve the language skills of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Since the concert attracts the whole brain, singing a song will improve the language skills of ASD children. Children with ASD tend to be more intensive and use verbal communication by stimulating musical activities including body percussion rhythm, vocalization and singing (Berger, 2002). Rhythm plays an important role in language; therefore, singing, speaking music, and using inclined orph instrument can improve the speech and language recognition of ASD children.

Autism Spectrum Disorders: Autism Spectrum Disorders include many developmental disorders that are usually diagnosed in young children. ASD is thought to be a neurological disease. In other words, there are certain dysfunctions in the individual's brain that cause its behavioral defects. People with ASD often have language expressions that are difficult to satisfy development milestones, social behavior problems, and other behavioral problems. Many of these people have limited cognitive abilities (but not all). In many cases ASD patients are difficult to manage and are very sensitive to music therapy. Music therapy combined with other traditional forms of intervention is often used to enhance the communication skills of ASD patients, to help them learn new skills and acquire social skills.
