Afghanistan Afghanistan is a sovereign state completely surrounded by land. Pakistan in the south and east, Iran in the west, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan in the north, and China in the northeast. They used this land for agriculture. That is the foundation of their economy. However, the cultivated land is only 12%, which is susceptible to drought (Robson). Like Somalia, this country has a tradition of nomads. But today there are no real nomads yet.
In recent years, many educators have supported multicultural education as a way to cope with world interrelationship and the increasing population of the nation in the United States. The troublesome thing is that educators have not reached an agreement on what is multiculturalism, or how it affects curriculum and education. Indeed, two clear and contrary views on multiculturalism are currently competing for the dominance. The purpose of cultural pluralism is that the community remains intact and their special understanding and behavioral style is respected and continued. On the other hand, assimilation accepts the importance of understanding multiple beliefs, but its main purpose is to integrate all the groups into the mainstream of the United States.
In this course you will learn the philosophy of multicultural education, sociology, and historical basis. Problems related to education of various learners of the global community are considered. Research on multicultural education and multiethnic education is evaluated based on current school reform movement. Learning community service is necessary. This course will help to develop strategies consistent with personal theory of reading process and its theory. Students explore the relationship between reading, writing and language. This course emphasizes the use of children's literature, including international children's literature and global perspectives, to promote reading literacy awareness around the world and to create ways to support the environment I will. This course prepares for the RICA exam.
