Msr. Turpin, A Fictional Character and a Personal Revelation

Mrs Turpin is a self-indulgent natural person. She thinks she is higher than low social class, and people are divided into various social classes. Her judgment will basically result in race and wealth. She and her husband have a house and land for pig farm, so she is better than the others. She often blesses Jesus that she does not say white garbage or ugliness. "If this is one of me ... Flannario Connor's short story "Apocalypse" is a perfect example of a dramatic satire. O'Connor allows the reader to understand the two aspects of the core character Ruby Turpin. There is a social conflict in the story 'Apocalypse'. The first confrontation took place between Mrs Turpin and a white crap woman. This conflict arises because Mrs Turpin thinks that she belongs to the upper class and white women belongs to the lower class. She also believes that white crap women are smart but do not receive education either. For example, O'Connor said: "No, I already have a beautiful watch." If someone like her got into a conversation, she retreats. "382. The second confrontation took place at Tarpin. Grace and Mary between Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Mary were very important to Mrs. Tarpin's attitude and did not like Mrs Turpin from the beginning of the story. "The ugly girls blinded at the clock smile, they look directly at Madame Tepinpin and smile again" (382).
