Mountain People: The Ik

I went to the shop. On the active Sunday afternoon, as the tacos paprika disappeared in the manufacturing process, I desperately went to the store. These two statements are saying the same thing, but the latter is completely different in that it draws a good picture. Whenever you read something, every detail is everything. Mountain People is an ethnographic magazine by Anthropologist Colin Turnbull. His work took place in the 1960s and was announced in 1972. His research field is Ik people living in Uganda, Sudan, Kenya.

Turnbull is aimed at understanding the life and living environment of IK from the perspective of anthropologists. Turnbull and Ik lived together and witnessed ongoing cow attacks, the way children were abandoned by their parents at the age of three, and how young people robbed young people about their food and died of death. During the famine and political turmoil in Uganda, the author got the opportunity to live with this Ik population, witnessing the death of the elderly and the minimization of the Ik population due to these factors. He believes that due to famine in society the population of Ik will be isolated, and ultimately the population of Ik will be completely destroyed. . Turnbull told that Iku has no chance to have luxury like feelings, family, and love.

The explanation of Turnbull's lifestyle is almost the same as that of Malthus where the population tends to increase to the ecological limit without epidemics or war. But in the Ik model, the population is completely gone, due to famine, hunger, ignorance of older, younger and weaker families. Furthermore, when several ecological changes indicate overpopulation, malignment represents inevitable sharp quality. Turnbull believes that efforts to relocate the Ik may result in significant unprecedented changes in their ecological environment.
