Morality in Oedipus Tyrannus

During the times of modern and ancient Greeks, Sofokles' play Oedipus was considered a typical model of Greek tragedy. Literature ties a complicated moral problem and "subtleties of classical Greek dramas did not stimulate so many critical discussions" (Harris and Platzner, Classical Mythology: Images and Insights, p. 648 ). One of the main arguments of the tragedy is whether or not Edeps is responsible for Pa's father and an aversive crime of incest.

In Sophocles' Oedipus Tyrannus, all characters of Thebes play an important role, no matter how big or small, the final result of that story. In Oedipus Tyrannus, Oedipus is the hero, the king of godly people, and the one who saved people from Sphinx. Edips is also greatly endorsed by the gods. Oedipus Tyrannus lived in Thebes, Greece around 450 BC, and governed the people who lived there. The truth of the whole story is that he is fighting and that he should be included in some way, but we did not understand it until the end of our reading.

Three Theban plays, or Oedipus cycle, Oedipus the King (also called Oedipus Rex or Oedipus Tyrannus), Coloned Oedipus, and Antigone. Although it was not composed in chronological order for 6 years, it was written in the order of Antigone, King Odeep and Queen during the colonial period.
