Monogamy and the American Culture

Currently, due to definition and tradition, we live in an American society that claims to be monogamous. But this monogamous society is increasingly filled with fraud, adultery, and globally mixed individuals. As of today, 57% of American men and 54% of American women acknowledge that they are not loyal, no matter what relationship they are (glass). What happens to partner's system at some point

Polyglotte is not something many Americans are used to. Western culture teaches monogamous women, not polygamy, but this is a properly accepted marriage form. Western culture places morality in it, usually from young people. In Western culture, multiple partners of marriage often cause divorce, but in Umopia it is not only practiced, but most people are encouraged. Another common belief in Umoufia is faith in polytheism, worship or many gods. Include their Kai and personal gods in their polytheistic practice. "A man can not exceed his destiny" (131). He continued, "Yuka is a man of many destinies, he has a bad spirit, or a personal god, he has bad wealth to follow his grave ..." (18). Achebe proved this to be a very important god. I believe that the monogamous system is natural folklore. Practice combining a couple's husband and wife with a monogamous child raising child is often not only a norm but also a law. Society and our culture will decide the way to interpersonal relationship. Over the centuries, monogamy has been deeply rooted in popular culture. The divorce rate is rising at an alarming rate. I can recite statistics on the number of marriages that everyone failed today and led to divorce. One of the biggest reasons for divorce is due to affair. In addition to a small number of cultures, monogamy is practiced all over the world. Society tells us that this is correct. In some cultures, they practice polygamy, and men can have multiple wives. According to studies on the animal kingdom, most of us tend to 'deceive' naturally or have more than one spouse at least a lifetime.
