British literature in the Modernist era and Irish literature are among the most important and exciting era of literature history. The term modernism was born in the early twentieth century modern era. The modern era was mainly the era of confusion and transition due to the return of people after the First World War. The era of modern times is the era of large scale unemployment and technology change. Freud, John, Marx redefines human identity, introduces assembly lines and factories, and sex difference is beginning to collapse.
Postmodern began to appear in the second half of the 20th century, but its roots are in modernism. In order to fully understand it, it is best to dig down the core of modernism. Response to the modern industrial society, the tendency for people to live in the city, the first world war, and the tendency of positivists to reveal the Enlightenment are the most important elements in the formation of modernism. It opposes lively and realism; it pays more attention to the modern aspects of life and rejects tradition. As Eysteinsson argued, "Modernism is functionally not modern, it reflects the dialectical opposition to tradition" (8). Modernity emphasizes reason and knowledge, but it does not pay attention to individualism. The Industrial Revolution tends to treat humans as a flock to get a more homogeneous market. All three of them are challenging long-standing stories and grand stories in Western history and morality.
Modern civilization experienced three major social and economic changes, the industrial revolution. The first industrial revolution was built around steam and transformed the modern society by redefining transport and manufacturing processes. According to Thomas Edison, who promised to "reorganize the lives of the world" by providing efficient energy and modern communication, the emergence of electricity has caused a second revolution . Later, electricity opened the way for our third (and present) digital revolution to release civilization from fossil fuels and to provide technology to more than 4 billion people worldwide. The common point of connecting all the big revolution is that by widely defined technology advances society by redefining the way we participate and promoting economic development by improving the quality of life is.
Persia society has encountered modernity as a series of import ideas from the West. They are familiar with modern Western and the last decades of enlightenment of the 19th century, the ideas and theories of the French Revolution and modernity. This acquaintance is accompanied by an understanding of their backwardness in history. Part of the community is trying to adopt modern and compatible attitudes and lifestyles but reluctant to accept it in other parts of society due to religious and cultural hesitation. The resulting confrontation has not yet been solved in these societies. Indeed, the Pahlavi dynasty of the 20th century tried to modernize Iran and incorporate various aspects of modern and Western life. The 1979 revolution eventually gave the anti-Western Shi'a clergy, which was a major recession of the Western modernization movement.
