OC Whitehouse (Charles, 1913, pp. 572-573) believes that 1 Baruch is written in Greek, but his editor RH Charles attaches important footnotes (pp. 573-574) It is. I assert that it was written in Hebrew. Modern scholars conclude that at least some of this document is in Hebrew and the rest are Hebrew or Greek. The exact date of the current form of the document is unknown, but it is widely believed to date back to the 2nd or 1st century BC. W. O. E. Oesterley (Apocrypha Books, New York, 1935, page 260) and Whitehouse (Charles, 1913, page 575) certainly was wrong since the 1970s. The evidence may be a Palestinian
