37 schools were used as evaluation center of G.C.E. (A / L) exam will be resumed for the third semester on September 6. All other schools will resume for the third semester on 3rd September 2018. Only 37 schools were used as evaluation center of G.C.E. (A / L) exam is completed from August 23, 2018 to September 5, 2017. These schools will resume the third semester on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Except for Muslim schools, the third semester of all schools starts on Monday, September 3, 2018. B.1 Structure of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education There are two divisions in charge of training teachers in Afghanistan. These are the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE). From 2005/2006 to 2006/2007, the number of schools in Puntland increased drastically, to 137 compared to one year ago. In 2013, the government established the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to promote social cohesion, economic empowerment and educational development in elementary and junior high schools. Until President Mugabe dismissed Ranga in September 2015, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology was Andrew Ranga. Ranga was replaced by Makhosini Hlongwan and in 2015 department name was changed to Ministry of Sports and Recreation. Currently, public junior high schools are managed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MoPSE), and non-public schools are managed by local governments such as church and non-profit organizations. The Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology Development (MoHTES and TD) is in charge of public and private universities, technical education and teacher education.
