In 1972, American photographer and author Thomas Laird traveled from Europe to India with the mission to record artworks aimed at changing human consciousness. Now, almost 50 years later, his mission was accomplished.

The European chapter of the Association of Mind and Life is chaired by the heritage of Francisco Valera, A Amy Cohen-Varela. The board of directors includes Wolf and Tania singer of neuroscientists who are research directors of the Max Planck Institute in Frankfurt and Leipzig. Until recently I was a member of the Board of Directors of Institute of Mind and Life of the United States and Europe, but I participated in more than 20 meetings.

Since its establishment, the Center for Mind and Life has held about 30 meetings from quantum physics to neuroscience including psychology, from contemplation to the most respected representatives of various fields. Education, environmental science and several solid Nobel laureates Zhu Yiwen and Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman, several Nobel laureates participated in these conferences. In 2003, more than 1,000 scientists attended Boston's heart and life conference.
