In this paper, we analyze how the fish market shows complete competition. Result of price survey paid by individual purchaser at fish market of Shitang Tsui in Hong Kong. As a hypothesis, the fish market is a very competitive market where there should be no predictable price difference between customers with the same price elasticity demand. The results from this survey show that different purchasers pay different prices for different quality fish. For example, some Asian buyers may pay less than white buyers, which is incompatible with a completely competitive model. Indeed, there is no competitive industry, but some industries such as the fish market industry are close.
