Midway Plaisance

Midway Plaisance Midway was first seen at the World Columbia Expo in Chicago. The world exposition scheduled for 1892 was promoted to a higher standard than most other countries. With the success of the Paris exhibition in 1876 and the Paris exhibition in 1889, the planners of Chicago have created more things. As Richard Wilson said, the Paris fair made a special house for Americans. Because the size of buildings and exhibits are very large, the United States looks very backwards.

This is basically a roller coaster running over the ice course, one of the earliest roller coasters manufactured in the USA. Located in the south 60 feet, 400 feet of land of Midway Plaisance, it is located close to the main street of Lexington (later named university) and consists of a high loop of high altitude. Ice is made with local machinery. There are two trains, each consisting of four connected sleds, each with six seats. The train is pulled through the cable to a high place, then released and slides down the slope. At the end of the trade fair, the ice and snow railroad was transferred to the Coney Island of Brooklyn, but direct sunlight and inadequate cooling were shut down soon. As Kurwell (1987) observed, "This is not the first idea copied from Chicago to Coney Island."

A few years passed. Magnolia married Gaylord and gave birth to Kim's daughter. Cap'n Andy visited them at the Midway Plaisance of the Chicago World Expo. Magnolia revealed to her father that Gaylord was irresponsible, that his constant fate as a gambler harmed their lives; but she still loves him. But soon Gaylord abandoned his wife and children. In order to make a living, Magnolia applied for singing in Trocadero. The star of the song there is Julie, entertaining the audience with a beautiful interpretation of the fork "Bill". When Julie found Magnolia's unemployed, she suddenly gave up her work at Trocadero so that Magnolia could take over. Magnolia succeeded and succeeded. Then Cap'n Andy came to Trocadero to bring her and Kim back to "Cotton Blossom". Repented Gaylord is waiting for my wife and daughter.
