I have just got off from the airplane. We are here. Me and my family, we finally arrived in Canada, this is our big dream! We are always watching Canada in photos and television, but it seems that everything is going well, but now we are here and we can see the reality with our eyes. It is raining, it's too cold, I have to wear a jacket. There are so many people around me that they seem to be in a hurry, but I do not know the reason. I am very disappointed; they all know where they are heading, but we do not know. Everything was fine as I looked around, but at the same time it was completely different from my expectation.
Then we walked through the hall, we reached the line, waiting for everyone to stop and enter the office to talk to the lady. My family and I feel that I always know how to speak French well. I studied French at school and my parents took several French courses before coming to Canada. We are in order; someone called us to the office. Immigration officials started talking, but I did not know anything. My mother understood, but she could not find the answer. She asked me to help her by seeing me, but I could not open my mouth. Finally, my father started talking in English. I am saved.
After that, I left the Immigration Bureau. I want to go out and see the street, but I have to wait for Romanian friends. We looked around, but we did not meet our friends. I saw various people I have not seen before, and they speak a variety of different languages. It is fun. I am watching people in China; they are thin and their hair is straight. Wow! Muslim girls! I have never seen Muslims in Romania. This day is too special for me!
Suddenly, my mother said, "Look, our friend!" I turned my head and met him. I'm so excited. I thought he was forgetting that we are here today. He forgives what I am late for. We put baggage in the car and visited the town. I scared the baby. Montreal is a big city with huge buildings. I saw this type of building in American movies.
At the end of the trip I reached the conclusion that the first day in Canada was an unforgetable day. Today, what I learned from my experience is "cultural shock". Even then, I was disappointed to see people hurried up in a hurry, and I am very pleased to find this special town yet. Canada is bigger than I expected. People are very different, they speak French and English. And people should be very clear when they emigrate to Canada. I am very happy to find a Canadian who is different from Romania in Canada.
Larissa Deak is from Romania. She wants to continue her dental work even after she finished her health science research.
The unforgettable day varies from person to person. My unforgetable day was the day I first went to school. In short, the first day at my school was an unforgettable day in my life. There are lots of sweet memories this day. I do not remember the day when I first attended school for repair. However, I clearly remember the memories of the day. When I first went to school, I was six years old. My mother suggested that I need to enter school someday. She told me that I will go to school the next day. I'm very happy to hear this wonderful news. My school education news made me so excited. For many days, I was thinking about my new school, teacher, and classmate. I am very excited because my dream will come true. To be honest, I can not sleep well at night. The next morning will be the first day of school. My mother got up early in the morning. She washes thoroughly, combed her hair and put on new clothes.
I could not understand English words, so the first day at school was terrible. It is a bit difficult for me to communicate with other people. In the first week, I told my mother to drop out of school, but this is tough as it is very difficult. But as time goes by, I am used to it.
When I graduated from college I got my first job by selling myself as an expert in Microsoft Word. I told them they could write on my computer, and they gave me a job. Imagine recently saying that! I am working with many education startups and recent graduates can perform basic coding, WordPress web site management, video editing, easy design work, and a variety of other digital skills. These skills are becoming a new version of Microsoft Office's skills. If we do not give young people the opportunity to do these things on a regular basis in the class, we will influence the possibility that they will become successful adults.
