Micro social work is the most common form of social work and social workers cooperate with individuals or families to solve problems. Micro social workers working with disabled people do a few different things. Social workers often provide disabled people with useful information about the rights the Federation receives. Social workers can also help individuals to apply for social security, family support programs, prescription programs, and other specific programs in certain states.
Social work can be classified in various ways. The terms micro and macro are often used. Micro-level social workers work with individuals. Macro social workers change at the organization level: institutions, communities and even global policies. At the core of social work education is the premise that many occupations share a common core competence. These include knowledge of human behavior in social context, professional and ethical knowledge, knowledge of social service provision system, and ability to understand social studies. At a higher level, social workers can develop sophisticated abilities in professional fields. They may become clinicians and administrators. They may focus on specific groups of people such as children and the elderly.
Many social workers work directly with individuals, couples, families, or small groups. These social workers help clients deal with poverty, abuse, poisoning, unemployment, educational problems, disabilities, trauma and mental disorders. Social workers provide personal, family, group counseling, case management services that connect customers and resources and service providers, and other services that enable customers to meet their needs. Social workers often work in nonprofit organizations, schools, hospitals, and government agencies working on common interests. These social workers can work directly with individual clients, participate in project development, project evaluation, and personnel service management. Many social workers choose to collaborate with communities, organizations, or governments to tackle social issues at the system level.
