The man who was drunk with alcohol on this river is the story of Michael Anthony set up in Trinidad. It shows a negative relationship between the father's "Mano" and his son's "Sona." This relationship is not good; there is always a conflict between the father and the child. He saw his mother endured "hell", "sweat", "starvation", so his son expressed his father as "beast".
