Steele Solutions has expertise in sandwich flooring for four main types of steel sandwich for industrial and commercial use, distribution center and other loading and storage applications.
These interlayers, also known as freestanding-structured sandwiches, steel sands, or wide span sands, are usually used in a variety of applications and provide excellent set-up and reassembly flexibility as needed . These structures are considered capital equipment, so you can depreciate in a shorter period of time.
Building support - If the building is designed to support additional loads, you can use that structure to support mezzanine or platform. As long as the foundation can support additional loads, it is also possible to develop a hybrid system in which the steel structure is partially supported by the building structure and partially supported by the pillars. Steele Solutions can handle mezzanines supported by buildings without requiring general contractors
Rack support - If the rack system can support additional loads, these platforms will create mezzanine level free space between existing storage racks. You can also place a catwalk in such a case.
Shelf Support - Suitable for storing small items or existing shelves. This is an economical way to use existing space more efficiently. This type of structure is not the most flexible in terms of reconfiguration.
Our system is installed in major US distribution centers and supports conveyor systems, storage platforms and other cargo handling equipment.
Our storage mezzanine is ideal for use of warehouses, factories and other locations and provides additional space for high ceiling buildings
The sidewalk of Steele Solutions is ideal for easy and safe access to conveyor systems and other industrial equipment. We offer 3 widths of off-the-shelf 12 foot passages as well as custom catwalks. Please see more information on the catwalk page. We also designed bridges for conveyors and other equipment
Looking for a steel structure that supports industrial process equipment? For our expertise in these vertical structures, please see the support structure page.
We are a member of MFIDA - Material Handling Equipment Distributor Association, MHI and SMA - Storage Manufacturer Association, and National Waste Recycling Association (NWRA). National Stone, Gravel Association (NSSGA) and Steel Technology Association (AIST)
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page for mezzanine height requirements, weight, and other details and requirements.
Steele Solutions is a company suitable for the design and manufacture of steel structures for sandwiches, mezzanine systems, equipment platforms, towers, material handling and storage, as well as conveyors, equipment and machinery, and other industrial and commercial steel structures. Worldwide support and installation
Although the industrial interlayer is not usually made of wood, the practicality of wood products as the floor material on the mezzanine floor has been greatly improved by the progress of the composite wood engineering from the late 1990 's to the early 2000' s. Traditionally, sandwiches made of wood were considered only as a storage method, but it was not the purpose of material handling, but the composite wood boards are tall because there is content that can be recycled into the compostor Is commonly used in the LEED certified warehouse. It depends on the amount of structural steel required to raise the platform
Mezzanine is commonly used in stores and similar space to store tools and materials. The high roof of the store is ideal for the mezzanine where the office can be placed down or above. The middle layer is generally used in industrial work such as warehouse storage, distribution or manufacture. These facilities have a high ceiling that allows unused space to be used in vertical cubes. Industrial sandwich structures are usually structural, roll-formed, rack-supported or shelf-supported, allowing for high density storage within the sandwich structure.
Warehouse What are the advantages of mezzanine? Organization, Navigation, and Process Adding a mezzanine platform provides storage, system walks, and platform storage. In addition, mezzanine can support modular offices and transportation areas that require regular wear and tear. We offer a wide range of options for every need including prefabricated / pre-designed sandwiches, standalone platforms, custom sizes, standard or stainless steel, and designs that meet specifications and regulations.
