Metaphysical Poetry in The Seventeenth Century

Metaphysical wit and cunning are two of the most famous literary works used by poets such as John Don of the 17th century. Appearing in the Petrarchan era, metaphysical poetry expresses emotional, physical and spiritual problems and brings new ways of image processing. In this article, I critically analyze a poem written in John Dun "free" where he and his wife are intentioning together. In the first part of the poem, Dorn tried to persuade his lover to have sex with him.
