Mental Health Counseling

This theory plays an important role in how counselors provide services to customers. The theory provides a foundation for establishing coaching style to counselors. "The theory creates professional consultants to us, they are ways to understand what we are doing, how to serve our customers, and how to explain our advice to our clients I will offer it "(Erford, 2010). The counselor is responsible for understanding the various theories in order to apply it appropriately to practice. Established theories and new theories play an important and sustainable role in mental health counseling.

Clinical Mental Health Advice EWU students are participating in a 94-hour program currently accepted as a mental health counseling program, but are designed to meet the CACREP certification criteria as a clinical mental health counseling program. We are seeking certification for this track to enter into force in March 2018. This course acquires a master's degree and prepares clinical mental health advice for graduates such as mental health clinic, private counseling institution, drug abuse treatment center, parenting clinic, family counseling center and private clinic. This course meets the educational requirements of a mental health counselor's license approved by Washington.

Current CACREP certification is from 2008 to 2016. The clinical mental health counseling program has been certified according to the 2001 Community Counseling Standard. This program currently complies with the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Standard of 2016 and is ready to transition to an approved clinical mental health counseling program when applying for recertification in 2016. Certification ensures that the quality of the academic preparation course and related courses has been revised to violate expert approval standards. Graduation of the CACREP certification program has opened the door to several tasks that were not available. In addition, some third-party payer will require a CACREP degree to qualify for payment refunds. The CACREP certification program must participate in the system's self-censorship and continuous improvement process and participate in the regular peer review process.
