Mel Calman

Melkalman (1931 - 1994) Pocket cartoonist, illustrator and writer. Mel Kalman was born in Hackney, London on May 19, 1931, the son of a timber trader. I was educated at Cambridge Perse School and I studied illustrations at St. Martin 's College of Art and Goldsmith College. He is a cartoonist of Daily Express (1957-63), Sunday Telegraph (1964-65), Observer (1965-6), Sunday Times (1969-84), and The Times (1979-94). He also contributed to Cosmopolitan and House & Garden and founded The Cartoon Gallery (formerly The Workshop), a gallery dedicated to manga art.

Mel McGinnis is a 45-year-old cardiologist who married Teresa, also known as Terri. They live in Albuquerque. The narrator says that Meyer is tall, crimped and soft, and Teresa (the second wife of Mar) is thin, thin, brown hair. Mel and Terri have two friends, Nick and Laura. Nick is 38 years old and a narrator in the story. Laura was 35 years old, married Nick and served as a legal secretary. They soon began speaking about love (as the title suggests). She says that Terri is in an abusive relationship and abuse comes from love. Ed, a former insulting boyfriend of Terry, "I love her very much, he tried to kill her." Ed defeated Terry, he pulled her ankle in the living room and got her on the street I hit. Terri thinks Ed loves her and his abuse is the way he is showing. Regardless of what Terry said, Mel refused to believe it was "love".

When trying to convince Mel that she has a romantic relationship between Mel and Ed, she has to question the reason of Teri. But as the story unfolds, the reader sympathizes with her and begins to understand that "love" with her love is not to satisfy her, but to empty her. Laura and Nick stand in stark contrast to this unparalleled love. Their dream is to achieve their goals. Laura seemed to have completed Nick, and by helping him to designate and define, she helped him to become a particular identity, not a different first-person narrator. Due to the relationship with Nick, Laura proposed to resolve the Terry struggle directly and be modified or buried for the relationship with Mel. The relationship between Terri and Ed is based on pain and abuse, but Laura and Nick's are based on love that blends into your personal space and helps them complete together.
