West Chester Food Bank changed its name to Feeding Westchester on 22 March in order to better match the name with the present mission of providing food to people who are hungry by Westchester. For Feeding Westchester, this change is in perfect time to celebrate this year as one of the most active nonprofit organizations in this county, especially the 30th anniversary. According to Leslie Gordon, president and CEO of Feeding Westchester, much of the content about non-profit organizations remains the same. "While our name is changing, our mission, our work, our board of directors, and our employees will not change," she said. "We are 95% of food to the hungry people in the county in West Chester's largest hunger relief program, safely recycling nutritious food otherwise wasted, Good food, nutritious meals. "
George Latimer, executive at Westchester County, said: "Feeding West Chester is a very good organization." "The work they do is often forgotten by the residents of our county It has been successful with their previous name for the past 30 years, but I hope that this organization will be successful. " This county is entering a bright future. "Young Kes has fully supported West Chester's mission of Food Bank, this name change is just a step in the right direction," he said. "The new name Feeding Westchester accurately represents their wonderful job as a county's preeminent hunger rescue organization ... we will continue to work with Feeding Westchester to end hunger in our community I am looking forward to it."
