Media Violence and Its Effect on Teenagers

The problem of violence by media and whether it causes juvenile delinquency can be traced back to the 1950s. In 1954, the US Senate held a formal hearing on this issue, there were many discussions before and after, and that is still the case (Strasburger and Donnerstein 2013). The main problem with this discussion is whether video game violence can cause real world violence. Whether our young people are affected by the violence represented by the various media of society. This topic can not simply answer because it is more complex and as I mentioned earlier, despite decades of research, there are still many controversies.

Media violence and its adverse effects have been discussed and discussed over the years As children became teenagers they experienced a lot of violence in the media that has had an adverse effect on today's young people. Young people suffering from media violence can not establish an effective social strategy, the possibility of relying on violence increases, society becomes more dangerous. Through social contact, individuals learn to think and act in a way called socialization.

In this article I will explain what is violence, what violence by media is, what social violence is and gives some examples as the first part. Next, I will explain the relationship between media violence and social violence. Various media systems such as children and adolescents are said to affect a variety of mass media viewers. To ensure that media violence is an important aspect of social violence, media violence is not an important cause of social violence compared to the effects of media violence. Later discussions on media violence will lead to social violence. Finally, there are many effective and effective recommendations to avoid violence.
