Media Partnership Agreement for 2018 KATA Convention

For decades, the Kenya Travel Agency Association has represented the commercial interests of Kenya's travel agencies. The association was established in 1979 to succeed the East African Travel Agency Association which had existed since 1956. The Pacific Rim Partnership (TPP) is a secret cross-border trade agreement that may expand the international restricted intellectual property (IP) law and re-establish international rules on its enforcement. When the US gave up the United States in November 2016 after the presidential election, the original form of the agreement collapsed. However, the nationwide version of this agreement is called the Comprehensive Progressive Pacific Cross Partnership (CPTPP), the remaining 11 countries signed in March 2018, almost all intellectual property chapters of the agreement It was interrupted.

In January 2018, the remaining 11 countries agreed to the revised TPP and now it has been renamed the Pacific Rim Partnership Comprehensive Progressive Agreement (CPTPP). The agreement has not changed much, but it contains a list of 20 "suspension provisions" joining the TPP in the U.S. It is no longer binding. These regulations are mainly related to investment, government procurement and intellectual property. On November 5, 2015, the prospective member posted a text version of the "legal review" agreement. Part of the complete contract draft has been publicly available to the public in the past. Many of the provisions of leakage documents are based on previous trade agreements.
