1 Summary In previous studies, media culture, especially magazines, presents gender fixed ideas. Just as barometer stereotypes reflect social and cultural values, gender stereotypes are not flexible. This study was aimed at studying the current type of gender stereotype in four general journals (Marie Claire, GQ, Shape and Men's Health). Ads are categorized as gender-specific ads and gender-neutral ads. Gender-specific advertising model for male and female magazines for female-specific related advertisements.
