The company has more than 30,000 restaurants in 119 countries, serving 47 million customers daily. McDonald 's passed through Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt with two Indian companies in 1996. Enter India. Corporation and Connaught Place Restaurant Ltd. Hard Castle Restaurant Pvt. Through its 50% joint venture with the parent company, the company owns and operates McDonald's restaurant in the western part of India.

McDonald's is a joint venture under the possession and management of two Indian Indians, Amit Jatia and Vikram Bakshi. Amit Jatia is Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Managing Director. The company owns McDonald's in the western and southern India. However, McDonald's in northern India and eastern India are managed and owned by Vikram Bakshi who is the owner of Connaught Plaza Ltd (McDonald's India, 2009). With more than 12 years of success and leadership in the Indian industry, McDonald's has deployed over 170 restaurants in India and started operations in Japan in 1996. The company spent four years developing its own cold chain, which brought the industry revolution in food processing. This investment will help farmers provide high-value, fresh, high-quality foods to avoid food handling and consumer related risks (McDonald's India, 2009).
