Mayan Religion

Ancient Mayan pyramids surrounded by forests and explored by tourists have long been considered as mysterious, devoted and committed ceremonies. In the center is Zolkin, or sacred calendar of 260 days; this calendar works for 2 cycles, 13 day cycle and 20 day cycle. These two cycles are repeated every 260 days

Therefore, the Maya sacrificed to satisfy the needs of God. Sacrifice is sometimes accompanied by harvest, but Maya's sacrifice usually involves some kind of human sacrifice. The sacrifice of most humans is accompanied by blood donation. The victims were forced to sacrifice blood by piercing the skin of various body parts. The higher the status of sacrifice in society, the more the victim is expected to give more blood. In some cases Maya even reached the extreme situation of sacrificing their lives. In these ceremonies, the victim is tied to the top of the pyramid or platform

Maya's religion points out that the world was created five times and destroyed four times. Mayan gods are usually represented by reptile characteristics. Maya people firmly believe in the world after death, but I believe heaven will serve only the stillbirths who were hanged or sacrificed. Everyone else will serve the king of death in hell. Each city of Maya has its own dominant chief. He is surrounded by aristocratic leaders and aristocrats who are in charge of public works management, taxation and law enforcement.
